Dear Parents and Guardians,
Welcome back to school! I cannot wait to hear all about the activities everyone has been doing and learning over the summer. My name is Lindsey Roseboom and I will be your child’s first grade teacher! We have an exciting year ahead that will be filled with lots to explore, experience, and learn! I look forward to being a mentor and guide to your child as they embark on a learning journey filled with excitement, challenges, and many learning opportunities.
First, let me begin by giving you a brief background about myself. I received my professional teacher training and bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Daytona State College in Decemeber 2010. In addition, I also received a Reading endorsement and English for Speaker’s of Other Languages endorsement. I spent the last half of the school year doing long-term substitutions at Turie T. Small Elementary and Pine Trail Elementary.
I believe that children do their best when the teacher and parents work together to achieve the same goals as the child. I love to have open communication with families since the students are my number one priority. You may be certain that I will work diligently to help them in any way I can. Please feel free to contact me at any point if you have any questions or concerns about something going on in the classroom or with your child specifically.
